Ronnie Silva is an award-winning editor and filmmaker with over a decade of experience cutting emotionally driven, visually rich content across documentary, branded, and narrative formats. His latest feature, Why We Dream, is a World War II documentary exploring the enduring power of dreams through the eyes of veterans and survivors. It premiered at the 2025 Tribeca Festival.
With roots in both high-impact sports storytelling and nuanced character work, Ronnie has collaborated with brands like Harley, Yeti, and Coors, as well as agencies including Vice, Pulse Films, 72andSunny, and .monks. His editing style is known for its rhythm, grit, and cinematic polish, especially in projects that merge physicality and emotional depth.
He is currently developing a new feature documentary about a legendary rock climber and explorer. The film is a bold character study set against breathtaking natural landscapes and decades of global adventure.
In addition to his editorial work, Ronnie is an accomplished writer. His original pilot was a finalist at the Sundance Episodic Lab, and he recently submitted a genre-bending horror/comedy feature to the Sundance Development Track as a writer and director.
